The Dancefx Youth Studio Program was created in 2003 to extend our incredible fdaculty and facilities to the younger members of the Athens area- and it has grown ever since! We host a multitude of technique based, performance-training classes to enrich any dancer's base and boost any child's self confidence. We offer an intensive company level program for those students looking to gain more from their dance experience. The "Team DFX" dancers participate in FX3 (Grades 6-8) and FX2 (Grades 9-12) technique classes and are required to attend additional rehearsals and performance. MOMMY AND ME  (Moms and Babies 19mo- 2.5 years) Mommy and child to spend some quality time together, while enjoying music and dance.  Focus is on movement, balance, coordination, rhythm, and stretching. New dancers explore their range of motion and learn dance fundamentals.  Mommies get the chance to sculpt and strengthen muscles, while experiencing their little one’s first time dancing!
CREATIVE MOVEMENT (ages 2.5-3) New dancers to explore movement and rhythm through basic dance steps in ballet and tap! Dancers will also have fun using manipulatives, music, and rhymes to help them practice dance fundamentals in and exciting and positive environment.  Pink ballet shoes, black tap shoes, leotard and tights required. 
PRE-K 1-2 (ages 3-5) A gentle introduction to ballet and tap technique and concepts in a fun and energetic environment for PreK children dedicated to helping your child fall in love with dance, meet some new friends and have a wonderful time in a professional, positive and passionate dance atmosphere. Pink ballet shoes, black tap shoes, pink tights and leotard are required. PreK 1 and 2 are suggested levels indicating first and second year dancers.
ELEM HIP HOP (Grades K-5)
A poppin’ and lockin’ good time. Warm-up, technique, weekly combinations.

ELEMENTARY COMBO (Grades K-5)
Ballet/Tap/Jazz nuts and bolts for elementary aged children in a professional, positive and passionate dance environment. Pink ballet shoes, black tap shoes, black jazz shoes, leotard and tights required. Suggested designations A-C indicate age of dancer: A=age 5-6, B=age 7-8, C=age 9-10
YOUTH SOUNDFX Calling all Triple Threats! Broadway and musical theater training for those who love to sing and dance. Ask about Soundfx Company!

FX2/3 CLASSES for DANCERS AGE 11-18
TEAM DFX For committed FX2/3 dancers wanting the best in cutting-edge classes, choreography and instruction in a positive and exciting dance company environment. Requirements: Team DFX company rehearsal, ballet, jazz and 1 additional elective.
BALLET Ballet barre, conditioning and technique. Ballet shoes, pink tights and leotard required.
HIP-HOP A poppin’ and lockin’ good time. Warm-up, technique, weekly combinations. Jazz sneakers required.
LYRICAL/CONTEMPORARY (Int/Adv) Exploration of music and movement with emphasis on technique basics, choreography, improvisation, and lyrical expression.
JAZZ Classic jazz technique and combinations with tricks, leaps, turns, combos and a lot of style. Soft-soled jazz shoes required.
TAP Stylized rhythmic tap.  Emphasizes sounds and technique. Tap shoes required.
CHEER DANCE A new addition to our youth schedule, cheer dance offers a chance for acro, gymnastics and cheerleading based dance choreography. Try it out!
